Why You Should Sell Your 220S to Old Town Classics

I love everything about Mercedes 22S – their gorgeous design, remarkable craftsmanship, and their sentimental value. I am very grateful to have been able to meet and work with many classic car owners over the year. My customers would describe me as a trustworthy and reliable person with professional, but friendly attitude. I want to be recognized as an honest professional who is transparent and accurate about everything he does.

If your circumstances have changed and you want to sell your classic car to me, here’s what you can expect:

Full amount paid to you – No brokerage fees

As I am a direct buyer and not a broker, you will be selling your 220S directly to me. You won’t have to pay any extra fees, meaning the entire amount goes of the sale price goes to you and you will earn more profit than if you sold it through a third party.

    Safe & secure payments

Instead of dealing with dubious private buyers, deal with a professional like me who has license to work and offers protection from fraud. I will handle the financial aspect, ensuring legitimate money transfer. With me, you have peace of mind knowing you’re protected under the law and won’t be deceived or scammed, which can be typical of selling via classifieds.

    Friendly & easygoing approach

For some people, giving up their car can be tough because of all the history it involves and it’s no wonder  they want to surrender it to the best new owner they can find. As an avid classic car enthusiast myself, I fully understand why it’s so important to find the right buyer and I am very respectful and compassionate when talking to my clients. There’s no pressure to sell and both parties have a very pleasant experience. I’m a laid-back and modest buyer who values kindness and friendly atmosphere.

    Pick up at your location

Another benefit of selling to Old Town Classics is convenience. If I am interested in your car, I will come to your location and pick it up. I respect your time and your convenience, so I will come to you and fit into your schedule so you can get a good price even if you don’t travel far.

    Licensed dealer

I meet the requirements set by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) of California and I am a certified and insured dealer. I am legally allowed to purchase and sell collector cars, meaning the sale is legitimate and you are legally protected.

Car Conditions I am Looking to Buy

I am actively looking to purchase Mercedes classic cars in good condition. I give preference to cars that have stayed in one family for a long time, but will also consider and give preference to cars that fall into one of these categories:

    • Well-preserved and well-maintained vehicles
    • Rare models with unique features
    • Factory originals and survivor cars
    • Cars with low mileage are preferred over high mileage cars
    • Running and non-running vehicles (due to sitting in storage for a long time)
    • Inherited cars, barn finds, special interest cars
    • Rust-free vehicles

    1.      I have decided to sell my 220S. What’s the procedure?

If you have decided to sell your car, simply contact me by phone, so we can chat more about the car itself and to arrange a meeting. I will personally come to see the car and assess its physical condition before presenting you with an offer. If you agree with the price, we will immediately proceed to close the sale through a simple and straightforward process.

    2.      Are you interested in buying a classic car that is not running?

Yes. Under certain circumstances, I will consider purchasing a vehicle that is not running. For more details, please contact me directly.

    3.      I have lost my car’s title paperwork. What can I do?

When the car is over 50 years old, it’s not unusual to lose paperwork. However, you can apply with your local DMV office for the title to be reissued, or I can do it for you, if you prefer.

    4.      How do you inspect the car before you make an offer?

When you, as a classic car seller, understand how the buyer performs an inspection, you can better prepare for the sale and eventually end up with a better offer. Visual inspection of the exterior includes paint finish and condition, bodywork – signs of rust, discoloration, dents and cracks, undercarriage – panel gaps, rust, damages, and tires and wheels check. I will also perform mechanical inspection of engine, drivetrain, braking, suspension, exhaust and steering system. I will also inspect the interior – upholstery, dashboard, and instruments.
