A highly educated engineer now retired after a very successful career in power generation design and construction, he knew his way around this car and did most all of the service and improvements himself over his 57 year ownership. Today, it’s equipped with a 350 /V8 built out to 388 specs with modern performance carburation and stainless steel stock exhaust. Built for performance yet has an easy idle for city driving. It has a Richmond 6-Speed Manual Transmission, designed to use the same factory shift gate with a similar shifter as the original Muncie 4-speed. (no cutting or modifications). Four-wheel Corvette C2 Disc brakes, power steering and brakes; integrated Vintage Air Conditioning, knock-off wheels, vintage in-dash radio, both factory hard and soft tops. Recently restored as needed interior with leather seats, detailed top frame and new cloth soft top and hard top underside restoration. Attention to factory detail throughout the interior and everywhere else. Fit and finish is impressive. Older high-quality respray in factory Riverside Red including being stripped with new gel coat. Straight as an arrow down the sides, excellent panel fit and alignment throughout. Overall, it’s an exceptional weekend driver that is so much fun to drive. Tight and responsive. The racing performance transmission offers plenty of low-end torque and power to keep things interesting. Yet drop it in 6th and see the RPMs settle around 2100 RPM for effortless cruising. You will be smiling all day long. I have had many C2 ( 1963-1967) Corvettes throughout my long career, and this example has really impressed me.
